Central Passage
Romans 1:16-21
Subject
Romans 1:16-21
Description

In Romans 1:16-17 we find the main theme of the letter.  Paul proposes the idea that God, our Father in heaven, has provided salvation to all people (all His children, His creation) and that He is the only one who has the power to do so.

This salvation is as real, available, and essential in providing abundant/ eternal life to all people, as oxygen is to physical life.  We must exercise belief and faith in it, breathing it in, in order that its power may be be applied to us.  Unfortunately, as we will see more in todays passage, some choose spiritual suicide and choke this provision out of their lives, refusing to breathe it in.
